Paddy McCarthy will take charge of Crystal Palace on Monday night against Everton.
McCarthy will step in to cover Roy Hodgson after he fell ill on Thursday.
The Sun says Hodgson has also agreed to now step down and be replaced by Oliver Glasner.
The former Eintracht Frankfurt coach has settled terms with Palace and is ready to succeed Hodgson.
Glasner, who has agreed a deal until 2026 worth around 4million-a-year, will not be in charge at Goodison Park on Monday. Palace are wary of the sensitivity of replacing Hodgson and are discussing when to announce the change.
