Genoa will host Lazio at the Luigi Ferraris Stadium in what will be the curtain-raiser of Serie A Matchday 33. The encounter kicks off on Friday at 18:30 local time.

After beating Salernitana last week at home, the Biancocelesti will be looking to win their second match in a row for the first time under the guidance of Igor Tudor and enhance their league position in the process.

Genoa Team News, Injuries, Suspensions & Probable Lineup

Genoa have announced their 22-man list for Friday’s encounter. Alberto Gilardino had already revealed that he’ll have to do without his key defender Mattia Bani as well as former AC Milan man Junior Messias. Both players failed to recover in time, and will join Ruslan Malinovskyi and Vitinha on the list of absentees.

While the Grifone will maintain their 3-5-2 shape, star player Albert Gudmundsson could be set for a slightly deeper role than usual. Instead of playing up front, the Iceland international is expected to operate behind the two strikers, Mateo Retegui and Caleb Ekuban.

Genoa (3-5-2): Martinez; Vogliacco, De Winter, Vasquez; Sabelli, Gudmundsson, Badelj, Frendrup, Martin; Ekuban, Retegui.

Lazio Team News, Injuries, Suspensions & Probable Lineup

Despite his return to training, Lazio captain Ciro Immobile won’t be involved on Friday. He remains unavailable, just like Ivan Provedel, Matteo Guendouzi and Mattia Zaccagni. On the other hand, Adam Marusic has recovered and is ready to start on the right flank, while Manuel Lazzari occupies the opposite wing.

Despite all the transfer talks in recent days, Luis Alberto and Felipe Anderson are both set to start. They will play behind Taty Castellanos who will lead the line, while Matias Vecino and Daichi Kamada take the double-pivot roles.

Lazio (3-4-2-1): Mandas; Patric, Casale, Gila; Marusic, Vecino, Kamada, Lazzari; Felipe Anderson, Luis Alberto; Castellanos.
