‘Frustrated’ Jamie Carragher wants Casemiro to leave the Premier League after embarrassing outing against Crystal Palace: 'MLS or Saudi'

Carlos Henrique Casimiro a.k.a Casemiro joined Manchester United on a mammoth $70 million fee from Real Madrid. The Brazilian midfielder became a regular starter in his initial season before injuries and stop-start form sidelined him for months. As the United No.18 captained his team against Crystal Palace, not many could predict that he’d be the ‘worst’ man on the pitch.

Football X is still discussing the way Michael Olise put Casemiro on skates as the former scored twice to give his side a 4-1 win. Casemiro was on the receiving end for both his goals as the Brazilian came under harsh criticism for his poor performance. Jamie Carragher‘s extremely critical review of the star has left netizens in shock.

He's finished. If I was his agent, I'd be on the phone with the MLS or Saudi . Jamie Carragher said in a post-match analysis

Carragher however, was respectful towards the Brazilian when admitting that the latter has achieved so much more than him. Casemiro has five Champions League titles and 3 La Ligas to his name. His Manchester United contract keeps him at the club till 2026.

Erik ten Hag ‘refuses’ to criticize Casemiro after horrendous display

Manchester United may be at their worst. However, Erik ten Hag stood firm behind his players as he refused to point fingers at anyone after the embarrassing result.

While the general consensus is that Casemiro let the team down with his errors, Ten Hag thought otherwise. The Brazilian was involved in both of Michael Olise’s goals – the first when he was dribbled past and the other when he lost possession near his goal leading to Olise’s second.

You can't put this to one player. It's a team performance. They didn't bring it on the pitch and we got hammered…that is poor defending. Erik ten Hag said in a post-match interview

Casemiro has had a relatively poor season according to his standards and has made just 26 appearances in all competitions this season.

Ten Hag explained why he couldn’t blame Casemiro in particular as he pointed out how United had 5 players over the ball for the throw-in which led the first goal. He chose to criticize his team’s inability to adapt and follow the rules for their poorly conceded goals.
