French pals defend Juventus midfielder Pogba

Former Manchester United ace Paul Pogba was duped into taking the banned substance which got him banned.

Juventus midfielder Pogba is serving a four-year suspension from the game as a result of a positive drugs test.

His legal team insist he accidentally took the substance, DHEA, which has caused the issue.

[I am] in no doubt about Paul's sincerity and I think he may have been somewhat tricked too," stated a former international team-mate Rio Mavuba to Telefoot.

His Juve and France teammate Adrien Rabiot added: We're talking to Paul. He's trying to keep his head up even when everything is falling on him.

I hope he will come out of this as best he can because having all of this to deal with at once is a lot."
