Figo hails imminent Everton signing Chermiti

Portugal legend Luis Figo is a huge fan of Youssef Chermiti, who is already impressing at Sporting CP.

The teenager is set to sign for Everton as part of their first team squad under boss Sean Dyche.

The 19-year-old, who has been with Sporting since the age of 12, broke into their first team last season.

According to O Jogo, the Portugal great said: "[Chermiti] is one more product of the great training that the club has.

Every youngster has his stage and his years of evolution, so it's good that at such a young age he already has that experience and opportunity to play in the first team. [He] will certainly bring many joys to Sporting."

Per the Liverpool Echo, the Toffees are in the final stages of negotiating his transfer.
