Inter Milan goalkeeper Emil Audero explains the importance of prevailing over Frosinone in tonight’s Serie A encounter.

The clash will kick off shortly (20:45 CET). It will take place at the Benito Stripe Stadium.

Audero has been serving as Yann Sommer’s understudy this season. He featured in last week’s defeat in Sassuolo, but will be on the bench tonight, with the Swiss reclaiming his starting spot.

Before the match kickstarts, the 27-year-old spoke to Inter TV (via FcInterNews), revealing that he and his teammates had been working hard throughout the week despite having the Scudetto in the bag already.

“This week we worked hard as we always do,” said the goalkeeper in his pre-match interview.

“Since the start of the season, the preparations have always been the same. We always try to maintain concentration and good physical shape.

“Then we make sure to apply these aspects in the match.

“We have been doing this since the start of the season. Today too we want to bring home the fruits of a week of hard work.”

Audero urges his teammates to win in order to preserve the good vibes.

“Winning is always a stimulus even though we won the league already. Victories help maintain a positive atmosphere and a good mood during training.

“Even today we want three points to add more glamor to the campaign.”

Finally, the Juventus youth product picked the last-gasp victory over Hellas Verona in January as his best memory of the season.

“There were many beautiful moments, many last-second goals. Perhaps I would say the victory over Verona at home.

“It was a tough match but in the end, it finished in the best way possible.”

This season, Audero made five appearances in all competitions. He conceded six goals and registered two clean sheets.
