De Boer slams Barcelona wing-back Cancelo: Now I know why Guardiola didn't like him!

Former Barcelona midfielder Ronald de Boer slammed Joao Cancelo after Sunday's defeat at Real Madrid.

Cancelo, on-loan from Manchester City, was hammered by De Boer for his performance.

"Now I know why Pep Guardiola didn't like Cancelo," he said on Ziggo Sport.

"This guy plays his own game of football. He thinks it's only about what you do with the ball, you're a defender, damn it."

He added: "It's crazy how Cancelo still makes the same mistakes at his age."
