Cristian Arango continues hot start as Real Salt Lake ties Minnesota United
Matt Blewett-USA TODAY Sports

Cristian Arango kept his high production going with a first-half goal for Real Salt Lake, but a late goal by Minnesota United forced the teams to settle for a 1-1 draw Saturday night at Saint Paul, Minn.

Tani Oluwaseyi, a substitute, tied the score in the 86th minute.

The United (3-1-2, 11 points) were the aggressors for stretches of the match but didn't have lots to show for it. Minnesota has gone two matches in a row without a victory after suffering its first loss a week earlier.

Real Salt Lake (3-2-2, 11 points) couldn't hold on amid the late-match chaos.

United goalkeeper Dayne St. Clair made four saves. Zac MacMath of Real Salt Lake made six stops.

Arango scored in the 24th minute, giving him four consecutive Real Salt Lake goals and six goals for the season. He scored three goals a week earlier against St. Louis City.

Real Salt Lake's Andres Gomez did a bulk of the work to work the ball down the right side. Gomez barely prevented the ball from going over the end line, sending a cross back toward Arango, who bolted toward the net and headed the ball into the net.

Robin Lod assisted on Oluwaseyi's goal, waiting for a chance to slip the ball toward the goal mouth. Oluwaseyi was there to convert for his second goal this season, with MacMath falling to the turf and unable to prevent the equalizer.

Minnesota's Joseph Rosales was assessed a red card in the 89th minute for his second yellow card right after his team's tying goal.
