Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has drawn up a lucrative three-year contract for Antonio Conte, desperate to bring the former Juventus coach to the Campania capital.

The Partenopei president knows that a revolution is needed in the summer following the team’s painful post Scudetto season, which has seen three coaches in the dugout and no silverware in sight. Star striker Victor Osimhen is also expected to leave in a high-profile sale in the coming months.

Napoli have already identified Conte as their primary option to take over from Francesco Calzona in the summer and De Laurentiis has been in close contact over the last few months, trying to tempt the tactician to take on the job at the end of the season.

Conte offer

Il Mattino via TMW details how Napoli are willing to offer Conte his requested contract – a three-year deal worth €24m net in total, working out to a salary of €8m net per season. The club have also promised him control in the transfer market, including picking Osimhen’s replacement.

The Partenopei aren’t willing to rush the Italian coach, despite recent rumours linking him to Juventus. Whilst Old Lady director Francesco Calvo has maintained contact, the club are angling towards a younger and cheaper coach should they decide to replace Massimiliano Allegri.
