Brentford exploited a little-known rule to score against Manchester City in the Premier League on Monday.
The Bees took the lead against City through Neal Maupay, but went on to lose 3-1.
What was interesting was the way they scored their first goal, with striker Ivan Toney standing in an offside position as a goal kick was taken.
However, Toney only bodied defender Nathan Ake and never touched the ball.
The ball then fell to Maupay, who charged through on goal and netted emphatically.
City boss Pep Guardiola appeared bemused that such a goal was legally permissible.
