Real Madrid great Iker Casillas has rejected claims of the club now being in crisis.

Real are reeling after their Champions League semifinal thrashing at Manchester City.

But Casillas says: "We are talking about the two teams that were really marking football worldwide. Yesterday we saw a Manchester City team that was better than Real Madrid, that beats you in the tie, and that just went to the final.

"For Madridistas it is a tremendous blow, but I also believe that very good things have been done in recent years so that after a game like this there is fierce criticism. On the contrary, I am proud of the team and of the last 11 years, which I think have been 9 or 10 semifinals, some eighths and some quarterfinals.

"And what you have to do, from today, is already think about next year because football gives revenge. (Pep) Guardiola said it yesterday, who had been waiting for this game for a year to forget what happened last year."
