Former Real Madrid coach Fabio Capello defended Erling Haaland after Manchester City's 3-3 draw in Madrid.

The Norway centre-forward, with twenty touches, was among the 22 players who started from the first minute the one who touched the ball the fewest times.

"When you play against teams of a certain level there is no possibility of getting shots regularly like in the league," said Capello.

"There was a cross, then other balls didn't arrive. He only had one opportunity available and Lunin saved, then there were no others."

The analysis then moved on to Jude Bellingham, another supporting actor in the Bernabeu match.

"In Bellingham I saw great commitment, but little quality," said Capello.
