Tottenham Hotspur have reportedly turned down a bid of €9 million (£7.7 million) from Ligue 1 side Stade Rennais for defender Davinson Sanchez, according to Daily Mail.

Spurs are believed to be open to accepting an offer in the range of £12.5 million for the Colombian center-back.

Earlier in the transfer window, Tottenham had agreed on a fee of £12.9 million with Spartak Moscow for Sanchez’s transfer, but the deal fell through due to the player’s reluctance to move to Russia.

The report also claims that French side AS Monaco have turned their attention to Sanchez after Fulham rejected their bid for Tosin Adarabioyo.

The player has only one year left in his contract and Tottenham for sure will want to agree a deal closest to their valuation and cash in on him instead of risking losing him on a free next year.

Sanchez, who arrived at Tottenham in 2017 with high expectations, has faced challenges in cementing his place in the squad and living up to his expectations.

As the transfer window deadline approaches, Tottenham is actively looking to trim their squad, which includes several players deemed surplus to requirements.

Djed Spence has recently joined Leeds United on loan, joining Joe Rodon.

Additionally, Japhet Tanganga is linked with a potential move to Torino, creating the possibility for negotiations involving their transfer target, Perr Schuurs.

Another player linked with a move away is Eric Dier who has become a surprise target for Bayern Munich.

How many deals Spurs can manage to finalise remains to be seen as the clock ticks down.
