Bayern Munich great Robert Lewandowski keen on move to Real Madrid?

Robert Lewandowski playing for another club except Bayern Munich is hard to believe. But the Polish striker is reportedly considering a move from the Bundesliga to Copa del Rey.

According to Spanish outlet AS, Lewandowski is keen on a move to Real Madrid in the near future, with his contract with the Bundesliga giants running out in 2023.

Bayern Munich is reportedly worried Lewandowski could ask to leave Germany next summer when his transfer fee would be reduced to a more reasonable amount.

The 32-year-old is coming off another stellar season for Bayern Munich, scoring 41 goals in league action, breaking Gerd Mueller's previous Bundesliga record of 40.

It's unlikely Lewandowski leaves this summer, but Bayern is preparing for his potential departure anyway by targeting PSV Eindhoven winger Cody Gakpo.

Lewandowski would be a tremendous addition for Real Madrid, who finished second in the 2020-21 league standings. Madrid also boasts a talented lineup, including Karim Benzema, Raphael Varane, Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale.
