Barcelona chief Deco confirms interest in Girona midfielder Aleix Garcia

Barcelona sports chief Deco has confirmed interest in Girona midfielder Aleix Garcia.

Barca made enquiries for Aleix last month and are likely to try again this summer.

Deco told Esport3: "Xavi has also said that he likes him publicly.

"The loss of Gavi has been difficult. We will try to minimise it now with (Andreas) Christensen in the midfield. Aleix Garcia is a good player, who can be quite useful.

"We'll see."
