Almeria have officially announced the arrival of Milan forward Luka Romero, who has joined on a six-month loan deal.
The 19-year-old Argentine winger joined the Rossoneri on a free transfer last summer after his contract expired with Lazio, hoping for more regular playing time under Stefano Pioli. He has not received that this term, playing just 155 minutes across five matches.
Romero expressed a desire to leave Milan on loan this month, keen to continue his development with consistent minutes, and a number of clubs came forward with an interest in the teenager, like Salernitana, Como, Boca Juniors and Almeria.
As confirmed today, Romero has now joined Almeria on a six-month loan deal with no buy deal attached, allowing him to see more regular first team football in La Liga.
Almeria currently sit rock bottom of La Liga table after 21 matches, picking up just six points from six draws. They’ll be hoping for an instant impact from the talented teenager.
