Leeds United midfielder Brenden Aaronson does have a relegation release clause in his contract.

The American is set for discussions about his future at the Championship club.

Leeds were relegated from the Premier League at the end of this season, finishing second from bottom.

Aaronson, who struggled to make much impact since signing from Red Bull Salzburg in the summer, could be set for a move away.

Per The Mail, the 22-year-old can leave for a set fee as part of his contract with Leeds.

The exact fee that a club would have to pay is not yet clear, but Aaronson does have an out.

Previous reports had suggested there was no such release clause within the deal.
