Former midfielder Wesley Sneijder believes that Inter Milan will win the Serie A title, and Real Madrid will win the Champions League.

Speaking to Alhayah TV, via FCInterNews, the Dutchman predicted two of his former clubs to win major honours this season.

Sneijder is one of the rare players who can say he’s won a European Treble.

The Dutchman was a key player for Inter during the 2009-10 season.

Sneijder helped the Nerazzurri to win the Serie A title and the Coppa Italia. Then he played an important role in Europe as they won the Champions League that campaign under Jose Mourinho.

Naturally, this season Inter will be hoping that they can win as many trophies as they can.

The Nerazzurri are in a strong position in Serie A. And they have won the Coppa Italia in each of the past two seasons already.

Moreover, Inter reached the Champions League final last campaign.

That will give the team plenty of confidence that they can go far in the competition once again.

But of course, the likelihood that Inter would win all three of these trophies is hardly high.

In the view of Sneijder, Inter will get their hands on domestic silverware. He believes that the Nerazzurri will finally get back to winning the honour they really covet, the Serie A title.

But as far as the Champions League, the former midfielder is backing another of his old teams.

Wesley Sneijder: Inter Will Win Serie A Title, Real Madrid Champions League

“Inter will win the Serie A title this season,” Sneijder said.

“They’re in great form.”

“And then Real Madrid will win the Champions League,” the former midfielder continued.

“They have a great group. It’s an incredible club.”

And Sneijder also gave his thoughts on his failure to win the Ballon D’Or in 2010.

“It was a little unfair that I didn’t win that award ahead of Messi,” he argued.

“But I’m not the type to moan about it.”

“It’s an individual award,” the Dutchman observed. “I care more about team trophies.”

“I’d rather win the Champions League than the Ballon D’Or,” Sneijder said. “And I did.”
