It was a really good week for Sam Trickett when he played and won $10.1 million in World Series of Poker Big One for One Drop. But, the adrenaline and glow of winnings quickly went away when he was beat up outside the casino in Vegas by six men.

The British poker player tweeted about the incident and even released a photo of the damage done to his face.

Was having a great day until 6 guys did this to me.Seriously Wtf? Couldn’t be more angry… #cowards twitter.com/Samtrickett1/s…

His girlfriend even received some punishment from the alleged attackers, as she was spat on, according to another Tweet from Trickett:

Is this what happens if ur successful? literally beat the **** out of me and spat in @NatashaSandhu face all over nothing…

I find it difficult that this was just a verbal altercation, but whatever. Pretty nasty looking shots he took. But the money he recently won will help soften the pain as he recovers.
