What does the future look like for Jakub Vrana?
Jeff Le-USA TODAY Sports

After a tumultuous way to start the week, many are wondering what is next for one of the St. Louis Blues veterans.

Through 19 games, forward Jakub Vrana has just two goals and four assists, far off the scoring pace we have seen from him over the last few seasons. The former Stanley Cup Champion has not registered a point in his last seven games, and was held out of the lineup for four games from late November to earlier this month.

Despite playing in the team’s last two affairs, reports on Monday mentioned that Vrana was going to be placed on waivers. However, when the list came out at 2 p.m. ET, his name was not on the list.

However, to make things even more interesting, Vrana was not among the 12 forwards during line rushes at Tuesday’s morning skate before St. Louis’ game against the Detroit Red Wings.

On Tuesday’s edition of Daily Faceoff LIVE, Tyler Yaremchuk and Frank Seravalli discussed what could be next for the Czechia native, after Vrana’s camp was initially being told he was going to go on waivers.

Frank Seravalli: I think Vrana is a guy that has hit a wall at this point in his career. There was a lot of hope after he came over to the Blues last year. You’re thinking ‘this guy has a great goal scoring-per-60-minute number throughout the course of his career’. If he can get the off-ice portion of himself on track, maybe this is someone that can have a fresh start in St. Louis.

Once you see the change of scenery for the first time, it’s kind of hard the second time around to convince me that someone is going to find [their game].
