Penguins Postgame: Guts and Exhaustion, Pens Saving Season?
John Jones-USA TODAY Sports

Here come the Pittsburgh Penguins.

The Penguins both roared back in their game against the New Jersey Devils, rallying from a 3-1 third period deficit for a 6-3 win, and they’ve roared back into the playoff race.

The Penguins lacked energy and had little challenge for New Jersey for the first 45 minutes. The Penguins had just 12 shots on goal through two periods and ultimately finished with only 21.

But Sidney Crosby scored a power-play goal to close the gap to 3-2, and the road-weary Penguins found energy, and they found life.

We got a lot of questions via X (Twitter). from Alex Nedeljkovic starting the rest of the games. First, we’ll go over the game and the truly surprising performances of an exhausted team in the third period.

Several questions were about what could have been, also Alex Nedeljkovic, and if coach Mike Sullivan will ride the red-hot ‘tendy for the rest of the games. We also go into the surprise of Jack St. Ivany, the unique benefits of Michael Bunting, and what comes next.
