Penguins beat Rangers in Game 4 with another seven-goal performance

The Pittsburgh Penguins are up 3-1 in a first round series against the New York Rangers after a 7-2 win in Game 4 on Monday.

The decisive win came two days after the Penguins beat the Rangers, 7-3, in Game 3. It's the first time in franchise history that Pittsburgh scored at least seven goals in back-to-back playoff games.

For the second straight game, the Rangers pulled Igor Shesterkin, the runaway favorite to win the Vezina Trophy given to the NHL's top goaltender. In two periods, Shesterkin allowed six goals and made 24 saves.

The Penguins again had to rely on third-stringer Louis Domingue in goal and he didn't disappoint with 22 saves and two goals allowed.

Sidney Crosby starred early in the game, scoring the Penguins' first goal and assisting on the second and third.

With his 3rd point of the evening, Sidney Crosby is the 6th player in NHL history to reach 200 career points in the postseason.
