NHL Tuesday: Three-leg goal scorer parlay

We have two more nights of the NHL before the league heads into the All-Star break, and now is the time to find a parlay win on the night's action.

It's a loaded Tuesday of hockey, but three games in particular stick out for goals and points value. Consider these games as a whole if looking for straight bets on goals. You don't need to take the same guys I do, but opportunity is out there tonight.

The points parlay is currently only available on Barstool Sportsbook, where it continues to offer point lines at 0.5 instead of 1.5. If you can't use that book, consider riding with the goal-scorers only.

This three-leg goal scorer parlay comes in at +1439 on FanDuel. Let's get to the games.

Dallas Stars

Dallas is in a very good spot for goals tonight and is where our parlay begins.

The reason here is overlap of goal-scoring trends. The Stars are averaging 3.8 goals per game in their last 10 home games, good for sixth-most in the NHL.

On the other end is a Calgary Flames team far more vulnerable on the road. The Flames are seeing 4.0 goals scored against them in their past five, the fourth-highest road mark in the league.

We'll be altering the strategy when approaching Dallas tonight. I'm going with one player to score the goal and putting another in the points parlay. Let's start with the goal-scorer.

Roope Hintz

Hintz is a solid option to score every night, with one goal in five of his last six. He's been solid at home, scoring a goal in 55% of games in Dallas this season and five of his last nine games.

Hintz is on a superb line with Joe Pavelski and Jason Robertson, who we'll get to in a moment. They're generating points in bunches and all shooting a hefty amount. This is a great spot, and I'm rolling with Hintz to score because of his steady production.

Goal odds: +205 (DK)

Jason Robertson

Robertson is the points parlay option for tonight. He's been nearly automatic at generating points when on home ice.

On the season, Robertson has registered at least one point in 16 of 19 home games (84%) and has at least one in nine of 10.

While he does score, it's much more sporadic than either Hintz or Pavelski, which is why I'm not making him our addition to a goal-scorer parlay tonight.

Point odds: -190 (DK)

Colorado Avalanche

There's a very good chance Colorado will remain in these articles far more often than not for the rest of the year, and for good reason.

The Avalanche are averaging 3.9 goals scored at home in their last 10, which is fifth-most in the NHL.

They have a terrific target tonight in Arizona, which is allowing 4.2 goals per game in its last 10 (and five), which is second-most.

That's as good as it gets in terms of finding goal scorer value, and we're going back to a familiar face from Sunday.

Gabriel Landeskog

We highlighted Landeskog on Sunday, and he scored, so we're going right back to him.

Landeskog has been a rock when playing at home. I'm not quite sure there has been a steadier home pick for points than this man. He has at least one in 16 of 17 games in Colorado this season and 15 straight.

Unfortunately, his points line is listed at 1.5 everywhere besides Barstool, but his goal bet still remains a strong choice.

Landeskog has a goal in six of his last eight games, and with Nathan MacKinnon still out, there remains volume up for grabs in this offense.

Arizona sees a lot of shots, and the Coyotes also average a lot of penalties. Landeskog is heavily involved on the power play, with 26.3% of his shots coming on a man-up advantage.

He should continue seeing those chances and is an awesome target tonight.

Point odds: Over 1.5 (+128 FD) Goal odds: +140 (DK)

Vegas Golden Knights

We wrap with the late game involving the Vegas Golden Knights. Vegas is in a smash spot tonight against a Buffalo team seeing 37.7 shots against in its last 10 on the road and allowing 3.0 goals per game in the past five.

This is a high-volume game, and with Vegas averaging the 10th-most goals per game in the last 10 home games (3.4), the Knights could be in for a big night.

One player in particular is making his return home tonight for the first time since December, a place he's had great success so far this season.

Max Pacioretty

Pacioretty has gone over his SOG line in all seven home games, has at least a point in each game and has scored seven goals in Vegas.

That's the consistency I covet, so it's great to see Pacioretty back home against a soft opponent.

He has a goal in five of seven, and I like that to continue tonight in his return for the Vegas faithful.

Buffalo averages the sixth-most penalties per game, and Pacioretty leads the Golden Knights in power-play usage, which is sort of the cherry on the top of this pick.

Pacioretty has a 1.5 points line on every sportsbook besides Barstool.

Point odds: Over 1.5 (+172 FD) Goal odds: +120 (FD)

Closing Thoughts

This points parlay on Barstool is a solid +191, but again, that may be the only place you can place it. Feel free to take a stab at the over 1.5 lines for Pacioretty and Landeskog, though their hit rates drastically decrease at that number.

FanDuel offers us the best odds for this goal-scorer parlay at +1439, and that's where I've placed it. As always, the responsible move would be to bet these straight.

Good luck tonight!
