NHL names 2022 All-Star Game head coaches

The four coaches set to represent each NHL division in the All-Star Game have been announced by the league.

In the Pacific Division, it will be the Vegas Golden Knights’ Peter DeBoer, whose team has posted a .618 points percentage and a 23-14-1 record.

In the Metropolitan Division, Carolina Hurricanes bench boss Rod Brind’Amour be the representative. His team has posted a .758 points percentage and a 24-7-2 record.

The Colorado Avalanche’s Jared Bednar, who has posted a .719 points percentage and a 22-8-2 record, will represent the Central Division.

Last but not least, Florida Panthers head coach Andrew Brunette will represent the Atlantic. His team has posted a .729 points percentage and a 23-7-5 record.

The All-Star weekend is set to be held between Feb. 4-5 in Las Vegas. The rosters for the teams will be announced Thursday night at 6 p.m. EST. In the USA, you can see it live on "SportsCenter" on ESPN and "Hockey Central" on Sportsnet in Canada.

The four captains are being selected via the 2022 NHL All-Star fan vote and will also be announced.

More information on the weekend’s event is set to be announced in the coming days, the league said in a statement.
