Flyers apologize for comments toward reporter by social media staffer

It's not uncommon for members of a team to become annoyed by a reporter who may either repeat the same question (generally negative in tone) to multiple people or rephrase the same question in different ways in order to get a desired response. However, it's rare to hear anyone express obvious frustration about it, especially knowing how that burst of emotion becomes a story in and of itself. Even in those moments, those fits of anger may come from a player or coach as opposed to someone who is part of a team's behind-the-scenes staff.

It's not clear if the staffer was disciplined or how, but Jones, who was a television analyst with NBC and TNT before taking the job with his former team in June, wants to make sure that the team establishes a solid working relationship with the media he was once a part of.

The Flyers have been stuck in the doldrums over the past several seasons, and it has clearly gotten to everyone who has endured the hard times.
