Bruins reportedly not in on Vladimir Tarasenko sweepstakes

After a disappointing playoff run this past season, the Boston Bruins will look to add some reinforcements this summer. However, it appears one player available for trade is already off the table for the Black and Gold.

According to Andy Strickland of Bally Sports Midwest, the Bruins are not among the teams in on St. Louis Blues winger Vladimir Tarasenko.

Tarasenko requested a trade earlier this summer because he's reportedly unhappy with how the Blues handled his multiple shoulder surgeries.

The 29-year-old is entering the seventh year of an eight-year, $60 million deal he signed in July 2015. He has a cap hit of $7.5 million for the next two seasons, according to CapFriendly.

Tarasenko has scored 30-plus goals in five of his nine NHL seasons and has 442 points (218 goals, 224 assists) in 531 games. He also had 17 points (11 goals, six assists) in 26 playoff games during St. Louis' Stanley Cup-winning 2018-19 season.

According to The Athletic's Jeremy Rutherford, the New York Islanders, Tampa Bay Lightning, Pittsburgh Penguins, Vegas Golden Knights, Montreal Canadiens, Washington Capitals and Florida Panthers are considered potential suitors for Tarasenko.
