Wyatt Kalynuk will take the roster spot previously occupied by Mike Hardman. Hardman has played 17 games with the Blackhawks this season, recording two points. He last appeared in the December 4 matchup with the New York Rangers, skating 12 shifts and logging 8:43 of ice time.
With Kalynuk’s addition, the team will likely be without Caleb Jones for tonight’s rematch with the Rangers. Although there is hope Jake McCabe will return tonight after missing the last two games due to a family matter, the Blackhawks are now carrying nine defensemen, signifying Jones and Connor Murphy will miss Tuesday’s game. Murphy’s absence was confirmed by Ben Pope.
