Blackhawks Shut Down Taylor Raddysh for Season
Matt Marton-USA TODAY Sports

Taylor Raddysh, the leading scorer among Blackhawks' current players will miss the final four games of the season due to a groin injury.

A career year for Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Raddysh has come to an early end. The 25-year-old is dealing with a groin injury that requires 10-14 days of recovery, which will keep him sidelined for the Blackhawks' final four games of the season.

With Chicago in full-blown mode during the 2022-23 campaign, Raddysh had a chance to flash his offensive prowess. The 6-foot-3 right wing posted career-high totals in points (37), goals (20), assists (17), average ice time (16:34), and games played (78).

Acquired in a March 2022 trade that sent Brandon Hagel to the Tampa Bay Lightning, Raddysh has grown into a consistent scoring option for the Blackhawks.

Entering Saturday, Raddysh ranks first among current Blackhawks players in points and goals. Only the now-departed Max Domi (49) and Patrick Kane (45) sit ahead of Raddysh on the 2022-23 Blackhawks' point leaderboard.

Missing Taylor Raddysh for the final four games of the campaign isn't the worst development for the Blackhawks, however.

They are currently in a neck-and-neck race to the bottom of the standings with the Anaheim Ducks and Columbus Blue Jackets. Missing one of their top scorers down the stretch may just be what puts them in the best position to win the Connor Bedard sweepstakes when it's all said and done.
