A pair of players have left Game 2 between the Carolina Hurricanes and Boston Bruins.
Canes goaltender Antti Raanta left in the first period with an upper-body injury, while Bruins defenseman Hampus Lindholm left near the end of the second.
In Raanta’s case, it happened as a result of an awkward collision with Bruins forward David Pastrnak. Raanta went to play the puck as it came into the Hurricanes zone with Pastrnak chasing after it. The pair collided and Raanta went down clutching his face before leaving the ice with a trainer holding a towel to his face.
Pyotr Kochetkov entered the game. Fourth-string goaltender Jack LaFontaine got dressed as the emergency backup.

Lindholm, meanwhile, was playing a puck behind the Bruins net late in the second before getting blown up by Canes forward Andrei Svechnikov. Lindholm was down on the ice for some time, and looked shaky as he left the ice.
