Wisconsin Football Loses Battle for 2025 Recruit to Big Ten Program

Gach’s recruitment garnered significant attention nationwide, with a total of 40 scholarship offers racked up. Wisconsin football coaches extended their offer to him on December 13, 2022, and got him on campus for a game-day visit against Nebraska last fall, but it wasn’t enough in the end.

Standing tall at 6-foot-5, Gach is not only a four-star prospect according to the composite rankings but also ranks as the No. 240 player in the class of 2025, the 16th best at his position, and the second-best recruit hailing from Michigan. 247Sports insider Allen Trieu projects Gach to be a Power 5 starter, drawing comparisons to NFL guard Ben Bredeson of the Baltimore Ravens.

Gach’s commitment to Michigan marks a missed opportunity for Wisconsin football, as he would have been a significant addition to Coach Fickell and position coach AJ Blazek‘s offensive plans. Instead, he will join Sherrone Moore and the reigning champion Wolverines in Ann Arbor.

Despite losing out on Gach, the Wisconsin football recruiting class of 2025 remains in good standing, currently ranking 18th nationally with 10 total commitments. Notably, the Badgers have two offensive lineman verbally committed in this class: Cam Clark and Michael Roeske.
