The Bengals lost their preseason finale 21-19 on Saturday night in Washington. Here are our winners and losers:

Winners

Tanner Hudson

Hudson is looking to make the final roster, and his performance in the preseason finale helped his chances. He caught four passes for 42 yards. His ability as a receiver gives him a real shot at making the team.

Andrei Iosivas

Iosivas had an impressive performance in the final preseason game. He opened the scoring in the game with a leaping catch in the back of the end zone. Iosivas plays similarly to Tee Higgins, using his frame to get up and grab contested catches. With the way the Bengals receivers are set up, Iosivas has a chance to get some snaps this season as another possession receiver behind Tee Higgins.

Evan McPherson

The star kicker went 8-8 on field goals this preseason, including kicks from 58 and 35-yards out against the Commanders on Saturday night. He had a rough start to the season last year but if the preseason is any indication, this year will be a different story.

Raymond Johnson III

Johnson capped off his exciting preseason with yet another good performance against the Commanders. He’s had a very impressive preseason and has a chance at a roster spot, especially if Joseph Ossai misses time with the ankle injury.

Jake Browning

Browning went 6-for-6 for 42 yards and one touchdown. The Bengals backup quarterback is a question mark, but he clearly has the edge on Trevor Siemian

Losers

Jaxson Kirkland

The Bengals had a pretty clean game, but Kirkland struggled at right tackle. He wasn’t expected to make the final roster, but his performance against Commanders didn’t help his chances.

Trevor Siemian

Siemain was on the field for six possessions, finishing 14-of-23 for 133 yards and one interception. The Bengals scored six points total, which was one less than Browning's two drives.

The veteran is a practice squad candidate, but he likely lost the quarterback battle to Browning.
