Will Bengals Target Veteran Offensive Tackle Following Mekhi Becton Visit?
USA Today Images

The Bengals brought in former Jets offensive tackle Mekhi Becton for a visit this week, but the former first round pick left Cincinnati without agreeing to a deal. Becton could be mulling their offer or planning other visits.

Will the Bengals pivot and go after Trent Brown?

The former Patriots and Raiders offensive tackle is considered the top available option and could be a plug-and-play starter in Cincinnati. He may not have the upside that Becton could bring at 24 years old, but the soon-to-be 31-year-old Brown is certainly more proven.

He has experience at both left and right tackle. The Bengals should be an attractive destination, considering they have a hole in their starting lineup following Jonah Williams' departure.

The Bengals have plenty of cap space and could end up signing Becton, but if they want to pivot for a more proven option, Brown would certainly fit that description.

He's listed at 6-8, 370 pounds and would give Cincinnati two giants in the trenches. Starting left tackle Orlando Brown Jr. is 6-8, 345 pounds.

Signing (Trent) Brown wouldn't break the bank either. He's projected to sign a two-year, $15 million deal according to Pro Football Focus

Don't be shocked if the Bengals pivot, especially if they get the vibe that Becton is going to sign elsewhere
