Late in the fourth quarter of the 2001 AFC divisional playoff game, then-New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady appeared to fumble the football away to the then-Oakland Raiders, a turnover that would've cemented a Raiders victory. However, the play was ruled an incomplete pass after a video review deemed that Brady's arm was going forward even though he appeared to be tucking it into his chest, and that ultimately became one of the more infamous decisions in NFL history.

The Patriots went on to tie the contest before the end of regulation and then won what is now known as "The Tuck Rule Game" in overtime, and the New England dynasty was born. Brady is now a seven-time Super Bowl champion and widely viewed as the G.O.A.T., who has seemingly loosened up a little bit since joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in March 2020.

As noted by ESPN, Brady took to Twitter on Thursday to participate in a viral trend and also admit that he may have been guilty of a fumble on that snowy and fateful day:

Charles Woodson, who forced the ball out of Brady's hand after a perfectly-executed blitz, offered a humorous response:

Brady and Woodson are no strangers to each other, as the pair came together for ESPN's "The Tuck Rule" film that was released earlier this year:

Perhaps Brady and Woodson are using social media to advertise a special "director's cut" for that piece, or maybe the 44-year-old is simply an elite Internet troll.
