Devin Hester, who was Miami's jack-of-all-trades dynamo set the game off with a scintillating 100-yard kickoff return for six that put doubt in anyone's mind who opposed them on this day. It was the second time in his career in which he returned the opening kickoff for a score (2003 vs. Florida). Hurricanes quarterback Brock Berlin tossed five scores on the evening and receiver Roscoe Parrish hauled in two of those touchdowns with 81 yards on 4 receptions.
