Watch: Davante Adams explains his pre-snap routine: 'I put my Terminator mask on'

There's a great case to be made that Davante Adams is the best wide receiver in football.

Recently traded from the Green Bay Packers to the Las Vegas Raiders, Adams is coming off a season that saw him catch 123 passes for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns. Sure, Cooper Kupp had a better statistical season — he "won" the wide receiver triple crown, actually — but few can argue that Adams is truly the elite of the elite when it comes to physical skills, route-running, and football IQ.

He's literally like a machine on the gridiron, which is sort of ironic because he recently explained his pre-snap routine as putting on a Terminator mask.

"I got a plan every time I get up to the line based off what you're doing, and I put my Terminator mask on and if you're right here in front of me — I drop down and three ideas of something I want to do, and this is pre-snap. And that's when Plan B kicks in based off what you do," he told the Pivot Podcast.

As he went on, Adams basically explained that he has three routes in mind for every single situation a defense throws at him.

He and Aaron Rodgers became great at getting on the same page with those reads, which led to some of the best catches and throws in recent NFL memory.

It's now up to Raiders quarterback Derek Carr to get that chemistry going with Adams, but it should help that the two played together at Fresno State in college.
