Watch: C.J. Stroud, Noah Brown connect for 75-yard TD against Buccaneers

Houston Texans receiver Noah Brown had just one reception longer than 50 yards in his six-year NFL career heading into Sunday’s matchup with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

But early in the third quarter, Brown recorded the longest reception of his career when he hauled in a 75-yard touchdown from rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud that pulled the Texans to within 20-16.

It was Brown’s first touchdown since Dec. 18 of last year when he had a two-touchdown game in a 40-34 overtime loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars as a member of the Dallas Cowboys.

The touchdown strike to Brown is also the longest of Stroud’s career, topping the 68-yard touchdown he threw to rookie wideout Tank Dell in a 37-17 win over the Jaguars in Week 3.

It was also Stroud’s 11th touchdown pass of the season, giving him five games with two or more touchdowns.
