‘Upset’ Shaquille Leonard refuses to answer if he sees himself back with Eagles next year 2 days before the Bucs wildcard game
Eric Hartline-USA TODAY Sports

The Philadelphia Eagles, led by their star quarterback, Jalen Hurts are currently preparing for their playoff game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the wildcard weekend. Ahead of the decisive game, the Eagles linebacker Shaquille Leonard was asked whether he is returning to Philadelphia after this year.

During the pre-game press conference, reporters asked Leonard about his return to Philadelphia. The 28-year-old linebacker remained uncommitted to return to the Eagles.

I think that would be a tough discussion for myself. You know... you gotta take your time and try to figure this stuff out. You gotta see how you look on tape throughout the year. Is it worth to keep going? Are you yourself? Are you a shell of yourself? So I have a lot to think about this offseason. Shaq Leonard told the reporters

From his answer, it seems like Leonard is not only just thinking about returning to Philly, but he is thinking about whether or not to return to the NFL at all. It is understandable, given how he looked in the 2023 regular season.

Shaquille Leonard started this season with the Indianapolis Colts, but he was shockingly cut by the team after the trade deadline was over. He went unclaimed in the waivers before signing a one-year deal with the Philadelphia-based football team in hopes of winning a Super Bowl ring.

The 3-time All-Pro linebacker registered 88 tackles and 1 sack in the 2023 season and is now hoping to make a big difference for Philly in the upcoming postseason. As for the Eagles, they have been having a lot of issues in the last few weeks. After starting the season with a solid 10-1 record, the Eagles dropped 5 of their last 6 games and fell to an 11-6 record.

Eagles’ A.J. Brown’s social media activities raises concerns

Ahead of the crucial playoff game against the Buccaneers, the Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown’s suspicious activities on social media raise concerns among Philly fans.

Brown — who has been involved in some sort of alleged friction with head coach Nick Sirianni — has deleted all Eagles-related posts from his social media profile. In addition, he has also deleted his X account. This move by Brown, especially before a playoff game, has pi--ed off many Eagles fans.

Apart from his social media activities, Brown is also suffering from a knee injury, which is also a concern for the team. Nonetheless, the Eagles will try their best to beat the Bucs in their wildcard game and make a deep postseason run with or without Brown on their squad.
