UCLA Football: Legendary Bruin Accepted Into College Football Hall of Fame

Y UCLA Bruins have had a flurry of stars play for their prestigious program and university. The likes of Kenny Easley, Tom Fears, Jonathan Ogden, and Troy Aikman are a handful who have made their mark as Bruins and have been inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Those phenomenal football players will be joined by another Bruin great soon as the program announces former All-American and halfback Paul Cameron will be inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame.

Cameron will be the 14th Bruin inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame. He became a member of the UCLA Atheltic Hall of Fame in 1984.

The former 1953 All-American spent three seasons in the blue and gold from 1951 to 1953. Cameron was third in the Heisman voting in 1953 and sixth in 1952.

He was also named a two-time MVP for UCLA and is considered the last great single-wing tailback. To this day, Paul still ranks among the Bruins' all-time Top 10 in passing and total offense. Although his time in the NFL didn't last long, playing for the Pittsburgh Steelers as a defensive back in 1954, he made his mark as a Bruin.

Congratulations to Paul on this long-overdue accomplishment.
