Tyler Higbee Feeling Better Physically Entering 2023 Season Compared To Last Year

The Los Angeles Rams don’t have much continuity on the roster after parting ways with veterans and bringing in 40 rookies and undrafted free agents this offseason.

While the roster remains largely unsettled at the start of training camp, the offense does have several of its starters from last season returning to the fold. The receiving corps will be headlined by Cooper Kupp, but at tight end Tyler Higbee will be the undisputed No. 1 option.

Higbee has been a solid contributor in the passing game over the years, and without much proven talent behind him he should be in line to play the lion share of the snaps at his position. The former fourth-round pick was able to appear in all 17 games last season, though he was hampered by a knee injury that he suffered prior to Super Bowl LVI.

With training camp in motion, Higbee said that he’s feeling healthier now compared to last year.

“Year 8, you’re playing football, your body’s not always going to be as healthy as it was 8-10 years ago. But yeah, I feel good. Last year, having the knee surgery, knee injury, but I felt like I was able to kind of put on that armor to get through a season. I feel good coming into this year. I feel much better than I did last year at this point.”

The Rams have had their fair share of injuries they’ve had to deal with the past couple of seasons, so it’s good to hear that one of their key players like Higbee is feeling healthy. The tight end has been about as durable as they come, though the nicks and bruises have surely added up over the years.

With Los Angeles short on talent and depth at mot positions, they’ll need Higbee available in order to try and stay competitive throughout the season. Hopefully he’s able to avoid anymore injuries and remain a key part of the offense.

Tyler Higbee given 80 overall rating in Madden NFL 24

The 2023 season is right around the corner which means the newest Madden is even closer. Madden NFL 24 is set to release on Aug. 18 and in order to promote the game they’ve begun to release rankings for players.

Higbee was given an 80 overall rating, making him the the 18th-highest rated tight end in the game. To no surprise, Travis Kelce was rated No. 1 overall with a perfect 99 rating followed by George Kittle and Mark Andrews.
