Trevor Penning Out Indefinitely

Trevor Penning was competing for the left tackle position before leaving last night’s game with a foot injury. After playing 10 snaps he got rolled up on by a fellow teammate. He left the game and then was carted to the locker room.

Ian Rapport reported that “OT Trevor Penning suffered a torn ligament in his foot and will need surgery, sources say following the MRI. He’s out indefinitely.” The MRI confirmed that he will require surgery and miss time.

Penning was showing potential after he had some some scuffles at practice and didn’t play very well against the Texans. He was looking really good and could have potentially been named a starter for the offensive line this year.
