There are two people on the planet who have ever scored a 99-yard rushing touchdown in the NFL: Tony Dorsett and now Derrick Henry.
Dorsett accomplished the feat against the Minnesota Vikings in 1983. Thirty-five years later, Henry did it against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
After Henry’s Tennessee Titans beat the Jags 30-9, Dorsett congratulated his fellow Heisman Trophy winner on the accomplishment.
Congrats to my @HeismanTrophy brother @KingHenry_2 on tying the 99 yard record tonight. That stiff arm! Rumble, young man, rumble!

Henry rushed for 238 yards and four touchdowns on 17 carries during the game. He had a massive night.
And because we can, here is video of both runs for comparison:
The first 99-yard rushing TD in NFL history: @Tony_Dorsett on Jan. 3, 1983.
And Dorsett wasn't even supposed to get the ball.
Watch closely: Dallas had only 10 men on the field. FB Ron Springs, who was supposed to carry it, misunderstood the playcall and ran out of the huddle! pic.twitter.com/1hqYQknBRl
