Tom Brady, Buccaneers to face Drew Brees, Saints in New Orleans Week 1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers fans will have to wait an extra week to see quarterback Tom Brady, tight end Rob Gronkowski and the rest of the team play at home in September; assuming the season starts on time amid the coronavirus pandemic, that is.

The NFL allowed teams to release schedules at 7:30 p.m. ET Thursday night, and Tampa Bay fans learned that the six-time Super Bowl champion signal-caller will lead the Bucs on the road to play Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints in Week 1.

Following that showdown between a pair of future Hall of Fame QBs, Brady makes his home Buccaneers debut against the Carolina Panthers on September 20.

Brady and the Bucs host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers for a Week 6 showdown on October 18.

Tampa Bay travels to New Jersey to play the New York Giants on "Monday Night Football" in Week 8 (November 2). Three Mondays later, the Bucs face the Los Angeles Rams at home.

The following Sunday, defending Super Bowl champions the Kansas City Chiefs will head to Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay closes the season at home against the Atlanta Falcons on January 3.
