Just ten days before the start of the regular season, the Titans were dealt a devastating blow to their defense. Star outside linebacker, Harold Landry III, was confirmed to have torn his ACL in Wednesday’s practice. Landry, fresh off a massive $87.5M extension has been a focal point of the Titan defense, and was one of the team’s bright spots in an otherwise struggling defense. Now, Titans fans may be looking towards Rashad Weaver to fill the role.

Harold Landry III Is Coming Off His Best Season

Landry was an absolute force for the Titans last season, having notched a team high 12 sacks. The young linebacker added another 22 QB Hits, 14 tackles-for-loss, and 75 tackles in his career best season.

Next Man Up – Rashad Weaver

The Titans now look to second-year linebacker Rashad Weaver to fill Landry’s spot. Rashad Weaver is coming off an injury of his own last season.

He’s been working really hard. He has been in here constantly, and he is doing better and excited. I know he is chomping at the bit to get back out there.

Weaver was drafted in the 4th round in 2021 after playing four years at Pittsburgh. There he totaled 110 tackles and 17 sacks while starting 28 games.

Weaver hasn’t said anything regarding Landry’s injury at the time of this writing, but he did give his alma mater a shoutout ahead of season opener Thursday night.
