The iconic Superdome and Tulane Stadium hosted several legendary moments in Super Bowls hosted in New Orleans. From memories of Hank Stram's "Let's keep matriculating the football down the field" to Joe Montana and Jerry Rice annihilating the Broncos, and William "The Refrigerator" Perry's lumbering touchdown to the "Niners-Ravens" blackout game, New Orleans is the perfect city to play a host to the most-watched sports event on the planet.

Monday's Super Bowl Handoff Press Conference in Las Vegas allowed New Orleans to host Super Bowl LIX, its eleventh, at Caesars Superdome on February 9, 2025.

"Those of us here today are all thrilled to be in Las Vegas representing the New Orleans Saints and the Super Bowl LIX host committee," New Orleans Saints owner Gayle Benson said. "New Orleans is no stranger to the Super Bowl. This will be our eleventh Super Bowl hosted in our great city of New Orleans and the sixth in the Caesars Superdome."

The National Football League accepted the bid from the City of New Orleans to hold their record-tying 11th Super Bowl. The newly renovated Superdome will be at the arena for the eighth time, while the first three games were at the old Tulane Stadium.

"But as we all know, it's a team behind the scenes who worked diligently on the moments to make that Super Bowl special as they did here in Vegas," Lieutenant Governor Billy Nungesser remarked at the press conference.

The Super Bowl LIX Host Committee has 363 days until Super Bowl LIX kicks off in the Big Easy. New Orleans Mayor LaToya Cantrell and Entergy Executive Vice President and Host Committee Chair Marcus Brown shared their enthusiasm for this monumental event.

Cantrell noted, "The city of New Orleans is ready to provide a one-of-a-kind experience, unique only, and the culture only that you can feel in the city of New Orleans."

"Las Vegas has set a high bar," Brown remarked. "And the baton has been passed to us. It's up to us now, and we're excited about the opportunity. So, in just 363 days, we expect to see you in the streets of the French Quarter and in the seats of the season's Superdome. We are ready to go."

With a rich history of hosting Super Bowls, the City of New Orleans, New Orleans Saints, and Louisiana are ready to showcase their vibrant culture and renowned hospitality. Get ready to experience an unforgettable Super Bowl LIX on February 9, 2025.
