Tank Dell, Noah Brown primed for another big opportunity
Thomas Shea-USA TODAY Sports

They always say lightning never strikes the same thing twice, although it could happen for the Houston Texans this weekend.

Last week, the Texans had a firework show against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers orchestrated by rookie quarterback C.J. Stroud.

The Texans wide receiver trio of Nico Collins, Tank Dell, and Noah Brown combined for 321 yards and four touchdowns in the same game. When you add tight end Dalton Schultz's 130 yards and a score, the production insane. However, what happens if that kind of production is replicated again on Sunday?

However, there will be one slight difference for the Texans in Week 10. It was announced on Friday that Collins will not be playing against the Cincinnati Bengals after being listed as out with a calf injury. The team is however expecting to have wide receiver Robert Woods back in the fold on Sunday.

Woods missed the Week 9 shootout with a foot injury but has totaled 227 yards and one touchdown for the Texans this season. With Collins out and Woods coming off an injury, the door is open for Brown to have another large role in the Texans passing game.

Brown was a pleasant surprise last week after filling in for Woods as the team's number three wide receiver and will be called upon much more this weekend. Dell will still serve as Stroud's top target, a role the two are continuing to refine each and every week.

The downfield aerial attack should once again be in the Texans game plan against the Bengals on Sunday. Entering Week 10, the Bengals defense is allowing 7.1 passing yards per attempt, the sixth-highest average in the league.

The Texans have been a major surprise overall as a team in 2023, jumping out to a 4-4 record and defeating multiple teams with winning records along the way. Another offensive masterpiece against the Bengals could send a statement to the rest of the league that the Texans are further along than we originally thought.

Let's see if the young playmakers can put on yet another show.
