Joe Burrow has become synonymous with “coolness,” so much so that some have bestowed the “Joe Cool” nickname upon him, much like Joe Montana. It’s not just Burrow’s calm demeanor under pressure that has led to this nickname, but also his style when celebrating.

A video of Burrow went viral after he led LSU to the national championship that showed him chilling in a chair, smoking a victory cigar (video here). Then after the Bengals won the AFC North, and after they won the AFC Championship Game, more videos emerged of him smoking a cigar.

But there’s a funny thing about Burrow’s cigars: he says that’s the only time he ever smokes them, and the LSU cigar was his first!

“I smoked one after the national championship game, and that was my first cigar I ever smoked. And then after that, I decided every time I win some kind of title, I’m going to smoke a cigar,” Burrow said in comments that aired on ESPN during the Pro Bowl.

Burrow had the cool look down so well he totally had us fooled.

Burrow says that his next cigar would come if his Cincinnati Bengals win the Super Bowl. They face the Los Angeles Rams at SoFi Stadium next week with the ultimate football prize on the line.
