Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker Leaves Sunday’s game; Doubtful to Return with Oblique Injury – Week 11
Joe Nicholson-USA TODAY Sports

The Seattle Seahawks are holding their breaths regarding an injury sustained by a top offensive weapon on Sunday. Per NFL insider Adam Schefter, star running back Kenneth Walker left the Seahawks Week 11 game against the Los Angeles Rams and is doubtful to return.

Walker grabbed at his side during a first-quarter run on Sunday. The Michigan State product had yet to be touched by a defender when he went down in pain.

Seattle Seahawks RB Kenneth Walker: Leaves Amid Down Year

Kenneth Walker posted four carries for 18 yards before his departure on Sunday. He also caught his lone target for -2 yards. The former second-round pick entered Week 11 with 145 rush attempts for 595 yards and six touchdowns. Despite facing a downturn in rush efficiency, Walker has improved drastically as a pass catcher. He has 17 catches for 173 yards and a touchdown this season compared to just 165 receiving yards and no scores last year. Walker finished runner-up for the AP Offensive Rookie of the Year in 2022, scampering for 1,050 yards and nine touchdowns on 4.6 yards per carry.

Seattle Seahawks: RB Options if Walker Misses Time

The Seattle Seahawks immediately turned to rookie Zach Charbonnet, with Walker headed to the locker room. Charbonnet enters halftime with ten carries for 33 yards while catching all three targets for six yards. The Seahawks burned the 52nd overall pick on Charbonnet in last year’s draft. The UCLA product rushed for 1,359 yards on 7.0 yards per carry as a senior last year.

Seattle also houses running backs DeeJay Dallas and Kenny McIntosh. Dallas has spent his entire four-year NFL career with the Seahawks. He has played sparingly during his career, rushing 107 times for 446 yards and four scores in 63 games. Meanwhile, McIntosh, a rookie seventh-round pick from Georgia, has yet to play this season. He also missed the entirety of the preseason with a knee injury. The Seattle Seahawks could use the trio of Charbonnet, Dallas, and McIntosh if Walker misses time.
