? Mark J. Rebilas

The shakeups around the NFL continue as the 2024 free agency period gets underway.

On Monday afternoon, the news of free agency signings was fast and furious. According to NFL insider Ian Rapoport, former Buffalo Bills veteran pass rusher Leonard Floyd is joining the San Francisco 49ers, last year’s Super Bowl runner-up.

The 33rd Team’s Ari Meirov piggybacked off of  Rapoport’s report, providing some information on the base salary the new 49er is set to receive.

“The 49ers are signing veteran pass-rusher Leonard Floyd to a 2-year, $20M deal. Floyd appeared in all 17 games this past season for Buffalo and tied his career-high with 10.5 sacks,” said Meirov.

Floyd will also receive $12 million guaranteed in year one of his contract and the deal could be worth up to as much as $24 million total with incentives.
