Ravens will have several chances to add one of Ed Reed's relatives in the 2024 NFL Draft

Drafting Hall of Fame free safety Ed Reed was one of the smartest decisions the Baltimore Ravens have ever made.

Surely those who share his genes have some talent to spare as well?

By the time the NFL Draft concludes this week, two relatives of Reed are expected to be drafted. Former Air Force safety Trey Taylor is Reed's cousin, and former Tulane wide receiver Jha'Quan Jackson is Reed's nephew.

Reed was the 24th pick in the 2002 draft. Taylor and Jackson will not come close to that draft status as they're both projected to be late round selections. Should the Ravens want to add either of them to the roster, they will have plenty of time to make that happen.

Taylor is ranked 235th on the Consensus Big Board compiled by NFL analyst Arif Hasan, while Jackson is ranked 212th. That puts both of them in the range of the seventh round, potentially late in the sixth round.

Baltimore currently holds the 218th pick, the 228th pick, and 250th pick to close out their draft haul. These would be the spots to select either Taylor or Jackson.

The best case scenario would have both players sneak through the cracks so the Ravens can sign them as undrafted free agents. They each play positions of need, which would give them good chances of making a roster push in August.

Surely they would be recommended by a close source.
