The Ravens released 15-year veteran defensive end Calais Campbell last Monday but "have not closed the door on the possibility of him returning." However, the door might be closed very soon.
Campbell is reportedly visiting the Falcons this week on a free-agent visit while Baltimore figures out if it can bring him back for a fourth season.
The #Falcons are planning to host veteran DL Calais Campbell on a free-agent visit this week, sources say. Campbell was recently released by the #Ravens, who kept the door open for his return. But in the meantime, the 15-year veteran will meet with Atlanta. pic.twitter.com/BdxUOBFSfx

There isn't any question whether the Ravens want the 2019 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year back as he has been a leader on and off the field. The question is if they will be able to afford him with QB Lamar Jackson's potential new contract on the horizon.
It will certainly be a loss of if Baltimore loses Campbell as he was team captain and totaled 113 tackles, 11 sacks, two forced fumbles and one fumble recovery during his three years as a Raven.
Some wondered if the 36-year-old wanted to even continue playing following the 2022 season. However, he does and believes he still has good football left in him.
#Ravens DL Calais Campbell could return if Baltimore gets some cap relief (i.e. in a QB deal) but Campbell has good football left and wants to keep playing.

Campbell's visit to Atlanta doesn't necessarily mean he will sign with the team, but he may if both sides feel the fit is right. If Baltimore is at all worried about losing Campbell, they may want to make some quick decisions.
